Our Spring Beginning [Pictures]

May 9th, 2008 Posted in My Life, My Photography

Hello Family and Friends!

It has been a little over two weeks since I sent out the last "journal entry", and I’m sure you’re patiently awaiting the next one.  Well, wait no more because you’re here now!  These pictures were taken mostly in and around our apartments since it has been starting to warm up outside.  We’ve been taking full advantage of it too.  We were couped up in a nine month winter and we’re ready to defrost.  Let’s get onto the pictures!

April 21st:

Finally.  This was the first real warm day we had since last fall.  We took Qeirstyn out to the park behind our apartments and played around in the tube.  Qeirstyn isn’t quite mobile enough to play around it on her own yet, but she does seem to enjoy it in that "fort".

Qeirstyn on Playground

April 25th:

This album actually spans a few days worth of pictures of Qeirstyn around the house.  Just an advisory: we are not purposefully trying to make Q cry, nor do we think it’s funny.  Okay, maybe we do think it’s a little funny.  She gets so upset when she doesn’t get what she is wanting. In this case, she really, really wanted the digital camera that Mommy was holding.  There are some other cute and "blackmail" pictures in this album as well including Daddy and Q playing at bath time.  The yellow dress is her church dress, and she’s all ready for church!

April 27th:

Another georgous day outside.  We took advantage of it by going to the new baseball fields in front of our apartment building.  Qeirstyn really enjoyed herself in the turf, and so did Mom and Dad.  We had the video camera there as well, so you can be expecting some HD video as well.

An Afternoon at the Baseball Field

May 2nd:

We were kept inside again because of the cold weather outside, so we had to invent some fun things to do.  Qeirstyn showed an unusual amount of interest in my glasses, so I decided to put them on her face.  She actually kept them there for some time (five minutes or so)!  Normally, she rips them right off in a second.  She looked around and smiled and was just having an excellent time with them.

May 2nd:

This was on the same day as the album before, but it deserved special attention.  This is simply a picture of her very first scribble!  She picked up a pencil and started to scribble all over Mommy’s posterboard that she needed for a class project!  So, we took a quick snapshot to remember it by.

Qeirstyn’s First Scribble

May 3rd:

It has been a long time since we had taken a new family photo, so we headed up towards the baseball fields again and took some new ones.  I was really pleased at how these came out.  In case you’re wondering, our skin is a little orange because we were taking the photos at dusk.

New Family Photos

May 4th:

Another wonderfully beautiful day outside.  We took Qeirstyn out to the backyard and played a little bit.  She was incredibly interested in the grass and foliage, so we couldn’t get her to look up at us and smile.  It turns out that the grass really seems to tickle Qeirstyn.  You can see her lifting up her legs trying to avoid the tickle.  Qeirstyn also loves to walk around with Daddy and explore.  We have our very own "Lewis and Clark" expedition group right here in Rexburg!

Well, that’s all for now!  I really hope you enjoyed the photos as much as we did.  Keep an eye out for a couple more HD Videos coming soon.  Just have to download and convert them sometime this weekend.

Love,

Derek, Heather, and Qeirstyn Hildreth

    Dear Family 3,
Yesssss it is time for more photos from you. We have missed them. Each time we see Qeirstyn in photos she has grown and she has more hair. Just a real cute cap of hair. She is a pretty baby girl. With a cute little smile. She is wonderful. We certainly enjoyed our time with her driving to and from Salt Lake in April.
We are planning to be in Billings with you May 29-31, some time there…
We love you all so much
Big Hugs and lotsa Kisses all around.
We love you, Grandma and Grandpa Hildreth
