I Killed Five in One Blow! [HD Video]

Hello Family and Friends!

Qeirstyn’s Playing Peek-a-Boo!

Hello Family and Friends!

Heather and I discovered that Qeirstyn was hiding herself behind a blanket and then pushing it back down to the floor.  We immediately figured out that she wanted to play some Peek-a-Boo!  So, we grabbed the camera and started to play… enjoy!

A Late Easter for Qeirstyn

Hello Family and Friends!

My folks came down last weekend and brought some goodies with them that the Easter Bunny left in their house for Qeirstyn.  The Easter Bunny gave her a small library of baby books and Qeirstyn loves them!  The following video picks up from where Qeirstyn tore the last bit of wrapping paper off.  Enjoy!

Qeirstyn’s a Superstar!

To our surprise, Qeirstyn picked up on something new very quickly!  We’re not sure where she got the idea, but she does this thing where she brings her cheek and shoulder together and smiles.  We call it her “superstar move” because it’s so “Hollywood”.

HD Video: A Qeirstyn Morning

Hello Family and Friends!

I’m extremely excited to present you with Qeirstyn in HD video for the first time! Here, I’m sharing a moment of a typical Qeirstyn morning– playing with an assortment of toys in the living room. In this video, it’s about 9:00AM and Qeirstyn is enjoying her playtime with Dad.  They played with a bunch of toys, played some catch, and made some noise.  Enjoy!

For those of you like me who love to know the technicals of a video, it was shot with a Canon HG10 AVCHD Camcorder in 1440×1080 HD resolution and automatic settings. Edited, encoded, and resized with Sony Vegas Pro 8 to a final resolution of 1280×720 for upload to Vimeo. When the video is embeded into a website like above, Vimeo takes away the HD options and scales the media down even more. To see the highest streaming HD resolution, click on the appropriate link below the embedded video.

To be even more technical, here’s some figures:

• Raw AVCHD (.MTS) footage: 744 MB.
• Encoded in .MP4: 213 MB.
• Vimeo conversion time: Approx. 1 hour, 15 minutes.
• Video length: 6 minutes, 30 seconds.
• Encoding length: 1 hour, 39 minutes, and 31 seconds
  • On a computer with:
    • Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz CPU
    • 1 GB RAM
