Trip to California to See Brandon Mull and Some AZ Flowers [Photo Alubms]

Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the photo album from our California trip to see Brandon Mull, the author of Fablehaven series that Heather enjoys so much. The trip was a birthday gift to her. She had all nine of her books signed and she got a free T-Shirt out of the deal as well. She was ecstatic about the whole thing.

The hotel the first night felt more like an apartment (at Thousand Oaks) and the hotel the second night (at Marina Del Ray) felt more like a Motel 6 with paper-thin walls. We had a lot of fun sight seeing and driving around Santa Monica, Malibu, Beverly Hills, and West Hollywood to see the “Hollywood” sign. We unknowingly stopped at an expensive restaurant and we were served by the same waiter as Adam Sandler had. Traffic was crazy, so we were pretty happy to make it back out to the barren desert without so much traffic. We were even happier to get back to our cozy beds to catch up on the 7 of the 8 hours of sleep we missed out on the night before. The hotel was nice enough to pay for breakfast and give us a full refund, so that was pretty cool.
